I am often asked which medium I prefer to work in, which is a tough one to answer. If pushed I would choose watercolour, however, each and every form of mark making, from the humble charcoal, to sumptuous oils, quick drying acrylics, clays, inks and so much more, all hold their own delights.
When I sit down in front of a subject, whether outside or in my studio, I instinctively know what would work best, what would convey the emotion, the soul, the spirit, the joy that I am experiencing.
